The Rotary Club of Lillington awards the following scholarships:
Trades Scholarship at Central Carolina Community College
The $1,000.00 scholarship is not renewable and is for attending Central Carolina Community College in pursuit of a trade certificate or degree.
Two One-Year Scholarships
Each of these scholarships are valued at $2,000.00 and are awarded to students from Western Harnett High School and Central Harnett High School who are furthering their education in four-year colleges or universities. If selected the student must provide satisfactory enrollment confirmation from the Registrar of the college or university that the student will attend.
Reid Ross Scholarship for Prospective Educators
This scholarship is for a prospective educator in the amount of $6000 ($1,500 per year). This scholarship is only awarded once every four years.

Guidelines
Annual $1k Scholarship in Support of the Trades
Awards $1K to a graduating senior from either Harnett Central or Western Harnett High School who will be enrolling in Central Carolina Community College and pursuing the Applied Technologies Program of Study. Only one scholarship will be provided each year. The recipient will submit their application via the Central Carolina Community College system. The CCCC-Foundation will coordinate the awarding of this scholarship with Rotary of Lillington. The scholarship will be awarded in July 2024.

Annual $2k Scholarships for College-bound Students
We are seeking students who have excelled scholastically, who have a financial need, and who have demonstrated a history of community service during their high school career.
For each of these scholarships, please be advised that the Rotary Club of Lillington expects you to meet the following requirements if you are selected to receive a scholarship award.
- Attend and complete education at a four-year college or university.
- Take part in community service and school activities each year and submit a list of such service and activities to the club's Scholarship Committee.
- Attend at least one meeting of the Rotary Club of Lillington during the year in which you receive the scholarship award, and briefly speak to the club about your college and community service experiences.
To apply for a scholarship, download and fill out the Scholarship Application, and turn it in to your school counselor who will submit it to the Rotary Club of Lillington's Scholarship Committee in the spring of your senior year.
Payment will be sent to the Financial Aid Office upon receipt of enrollment confirmation from the Registrar's office of the college or university.

Reid Ross Scholarship for Prospective Educators
The Reid Ross Scholarship for Prospective Educators is a four-year renewable scholarship, and must be re-authorized by the Club's Scholarship Committee each year. The minimal criteria to receive the second, third, and fourth year’s funds are as follows:
- Be a senior student from either Western Harnett High School or Central Harnett High School.
- Continue to pursue a career in education.
- Attend and complete education at a four-year college or university.
- Maintain a GPA of 2.75 or better and submit a copy of your transcripts to the scholarship committee of the Rotary Club of Lillington by June 30th of each year.
- Take part in community service and school activities each year and submit a list of such service and activities annually to the scholarship committee.
- Attend at least one of the weekly meetings of the Rotary Club of Lillington each year and briefly speak to the club about your college and community service experience
If a student is unable to meet the requirements for receiving their scholarship for subsequent years, then he/she will not be eligible to receive future scholarship funds.
It will be the duty of the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, upon receipt of the Ross Scholar's transcripts demonstrating achievement of a 2.75 GPA or greater, to release the succeeding year's funds to the Financial Aid Office of the student's college or university, with the full name of the student for which funds are being disbursed, the student’s school ID number, and the amount authorized.
